Our story begins when the 2 main characters Uğur and Françoise meet each other in France and decide to return to Turkey with their two daughters: Aylin and Aydan.
During one of their typical family summer vacation, they discover a small village called Göcek and fall in love with this otantic village with such a beautiful sea and landscape, warm inhabitants and decide to come to Göcek every summer.
As they feel that their vacation is not enough to enjoy thoroughly Göcek, they decide to build a house there. After building carefully their future house, they start to enjoy fully their time spent there. It is impossible not to mention the beautiful garden that Françoise designed with many efforts, a garden that is also the favourite playground of the two cats of the house. From one side to the other, you can find various species of trees and flowers: from a magnolia, to a tangerine tree, from a glycine, to a beautiful bougainvillea. Please note that sharing a glass of cool freshly squeezed lemonade, made with the lemons of the garden lemon trees, with their friends who want to escape from the daily heat is a unique pleasure for them.
Meanwhile, the number of people visiting Göcek increase and Uğur starts to think that the existing accommodation service may soon not be enough and propose his project to the rest of the family: opening a small hotel in the heart of the town! The idea is accepted by the family and there starts the construction of the hotel in 2000. Uğur and Françoise work hard and want to put into this hotel design all their personal touch that comes from their trips abroad and want to offer to their guest the comfort and their way of understanding of the quality of a hotel service. After 3 years of construction, next thing to find is the name of the hotel. Without hesitation, Uğur suggests a name: Villa DanLin, from the name of his 2 daughters Aydan and Aylin.
Indeed, this story tells the lovely story of the Göktürk family and the enthusiasm of all of them to do the job they all loved. Do not believe that this hotel is run in an amatory way, because the 2 daughters of the family came also to Göcek after their studies done in France and the USA to share their learning in order to manage Villa DanLin the best way they know. The first year the flag is hold by Aylin. After she gives it to Françoise who is enjoying to work there for several years. For the last two years Aydan and her husband Bahadır are trying to do their best in order to satisfy their guests and to provide to their two kids (4 and 3 years old) a life in the middle of the Göcek nature. What about Uğur and Françoise? They have fulfilled together their plan and enjoy to stop by at the hotel for chatting. Who knows, maybe one night you will meet one of them in the front yard and hear the rest of this story and the funny details about Villa DanLin from them personally.
